BBL® HERO™

  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily. Avoid direct sun exposure and outdoor activities like beach trips or sunbathing for 14 days before treatment.
  • Inform your clinician if you have taken Accutane in the last six months.
  • Disclose any medical conditions or medications that might sensitize you to light, affect wound healing, or alter coagulation.
  • The procedure typically has no downtime; most work and makeup application activities can be resumed immediately.
  • Some redness may occur in the treatment area but should resolve within a few hours.
  • Expect possible darkening of pigmented spots, which should fade and flake off later.
  • Follow the clinician’s aftercare plan until the skin is completely healed, typically within a week for facial skin and slightly longer for body skin.
  • Using soft patting motions, your skin should be cleansed twice a day with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser.
  • Apply moisturizer generously over the treated area as needed to prevent dryness.
  • Continue using sunscreen daily; reapply during prolonged exposure to the sun.

  • Use soft towels and washcloths to avoid scrubbing the treated area.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and conditions that induce sweating until the skin has fully healed.
  • Use cold compresses or ice packs if the treated area feels unusually warm within the first 12 hours post-treatment.
  • Apply Vitamin E or Aloe Vera for soothing effects if there is redness or swelling.
  • Contact your clinician immediately if you experience broken skin or blistering; keep the area moist and shielded from sunlight.

  • Follow-up treatments are typically 1-2 times per week for four weeks or until acne clears, depending on the severity and response to treatment.
  • Clinical studies show that at least two BBL 420 nm acne treatments are required to see initial results, which may last up to 6 months.
  • Do not undergo treatment if you have a suntan or sunburn. Reschedule your appointment to avoid increased risks such as burns.
  • Before your treatment, shave the treatment area 24 hours in advance. Do not shave on the day of the treatment to prevent skin irritation.

• Makeup can typically be worn 24 hours after treatment unless otherwise instructed.

Your post-care is essential for achieving the best results and preventing complications.

BBL® Forever Bare – Laser Hair Removal

Proper preparation ensures a safe treatment and the most effective reduction in hair density.

2–4 Weeks Before Treatment

  • Stop all forms of hair removal that remove the follicle:
    • No waxing
    • No tweezing
    • No epilators
    • No threading
  • Shaving only is allowed.

2 Weeks Before

  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner in the treatment area.
  • Use daily broad-spectrum mineral SPF 30+ on exposed areas.
  • Discontinue retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliating scrubs if treating the face, neck, or bikini line.
  • Notify your provider if:
    • You have started new medications
    • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • You have been tanning recently
    • You have a history of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

72 Hours Before

  • Avoid active skincare products in the treated area.
  • Avoid spray tans or bronzing products.

24 Hours Before

  • Shave the area thoroughly (except face/female facial areas — consult your provider).
  • Do not apply lotions, deodorant, oils, or makeup to the area on the day of treatment.

BBL Forever Bare uses advanced in-motion technology to provide comfortable, targeted hair reduction.

During the Treatment

  • You will wear protective eye shields.
  • Expect a series of warm flashes or a mild “snap” sensation.
  • Unlike traditional IPL, Forever Bare uses rapid, low-fluence pulses for increased comfort and even heating.
  • Most treatments take 10–30 minutes depending on the area.

Immediately After

  • Slight redness or perifollicular edema (“goosebump look”) is normal and usually resolves within 1–3 hours.
  • The treated hair will remain in the follicle temporarily before shedding.

Proper post-care helps prevent irritation and ensures the best outcome.

First 24 Hours

  • Avoid heat, sweating, workouts, saunas, and hot showers.
  • Avoid direct sunlight.
  • Do not apply makeup, deodorant, perfume, or scented products on the treated area (if applicable).
  • Apply a gentle, soothing lotion or aloe if needed.

Days 2–5

  • Continue gentle cleanser + unscented moisturizer.
  • Light exfoliation with a washcloth after 3–4 days can help hair shed more easily.
  • Expect treated hair to “shed” over 10–14 days — this is normal.

Avoid Until Skin Feels Calm

  • Retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C
  • Scrubs and exfoliating tools
  • Tanning, self-tanner, and direct sun exposure
  • Hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms
  • Picking or plucking treated hairs

Shaving Only

Between sessions, shaving is the only acceptable method of hair removal.

  • Redness or warmth for a few hours
  • Slight swelling around follicles
  • Hair appearing to “grow” before shedding
  • Mild itching or dryness
  • Uneven shedding (normal)

Please call if you experience:

  • Severe pain or extensive swelling
  • Blistering or crusting
  • Signs of infection
  • Dark patches of pigment
  • Any response that feels “not normal” for your skin
