BBL® HERO™

  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily. Avoid direct sun exposure and outdoor activities like beach trips or sunbathing for 14 days before treatment.
  • Inform your clinician if you have taken Accutane in the last six months.
  • Disclose any medical conditions or medications that might sensitize you to light, affect wound healing, or alter coagulation.
  • The procedure typically has no downtime; most work and makeup application activities can be resumed immediately.
  • Some redness may occur in the treatment area but should resolve within a few hours.
  • Expect possible darkening of pigmented spots, which should fade and flake off later.
  • Follow the clinician’s aftercare plan until the skin is completely healed, typically within a week for facial skin and slightly longer for body skin.
  • Using soft patting motions, your skin should be cleansed twice a day with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser.
  • Apply moisturizer generously over the treated area as needed to prevent dryness.
  • Continue using sunscreen daily; reapply during prolonged exposure to the sun.
  • Wear protective clothing like wide-brimmed hats to prevent sunburn, blistering, and pigmentation changes.
  • Use soft towels and washcloths to avoid scrubbing the treated area.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and conditions that induce sweating until the skin has fully healed.
  • Use cold compresses or ice packs if the treated area feels unusually warm within the first 12 hours post-treatment.
  • Apply Vitamin E or Aloe Vera for soothing effects if there is redness or swelling.
  • Contact your clinician immediately if you experience broken skin or blistering; keep the area moist and shielded from sunlight.

FOREVER CLEAR BBL ACNE LASER TREATMENT

  • Avoid using any exfoliating creams (e.g., Retin-A, glycolic acid) at least 48 hours before treatment.
  • Do not apply acne creams or gels immediately before the treatment.
  • Refrain from shaving the treatment area 24 hours before the procedure.
  • Ensure the skin is clean and free of all makeup, lotions, and sunscreens before arriving for treatment.
  • Handle the treated area gently. Do not scratch or pick at your skin.
  • Avoid using scented lotions or soaps, exfoliant creams (Retin-A, glycolic/salicylic and alpha-hydroxy acids), acne creams or gels, loofa sponges, and aggressive scrubbing.
  • Use only tepid water for washing.
  • Refrain from shaving.
  • Stay out of swimming pools and spas that use chemicals or chlorine.
  • Avoid activities that lead to excessive sweating.
  • Ice packs or cold compresses can be used if the treated area feels warm, typically within the first 4 hours post-treatment.
  • It is safe to apply makeup after treatment if the skin is intact and there are no signs of blistering.
  • Applying Vitamin E or Aloe Vera can soothe the treated area.
  • If the skin breaks or a blister forms, contact the office immediately. Keep the area moist and avoid direct sunlight.
  • Avoid sun exposure for 7 to 14 days to prevent sunburn and pigmentation changes, using SPF 30+ sunblock and reapplying every two hours. Delayed blistering can occur within 72 hours post-treatment.
  • Follow-up treatments are typically 1-2 times per week for four weeks or until acne clears, depending on the severity and response to treatment.
  • Clinical studies show that at least two BBL 420 nm acne treatments are required to see initial results, which may last up to 6 months.

FOREVER BARE BBL® LASER HAIR REMOVAL

  • Do not undergo treatment if you have a suntan or sunburn. Reschedule your appointment to avoid increased risks such as burns.
  • Before your treatment, shave the treatment area 24 hours in advance. Do not shave on the day of the treatment to prevent skin irritation.
  • Make sure you wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, especially before and after treatment.
  • Wait at least 14 days after receiving cosmetic injectables like Botox or fillers before undergoing an IPL treatment.
  • Ensure the treatment area is free from active sores, lesions, or severe irritation. Treatment on or near these conditions will not be performed.
  • After hair reduction treatment, you may experience redness, swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation in the treated area, usually resolving within 48 hours. Handle the area gently and avoid scratching.
  • Until sensitivity subsides, avoid applying makeup, using scented products, exfoliants, or shaving, and refrain from swimming in treated pools or activities that cause heavy sweating; use only tepid water.
  • Use a cold compress or an ice pack to soothe the area if it feels warm, usually within the first 12 hours after treatment.
  • Applying Vitamin E or Aloe Vera can soothe the treated area.
  • If there is crusting on the treated area, apply an antibiotic ointment twice daily. Do not pick at these areas to avoid infection or scarring.
  • If the skin breaks or a blister forms, use an antibiotic ointment and call your doctor immediately. Keep the area moist and avoid direct sunlight.
  • Hives have been reported in rare cases after treatments. If you experience an irritated rash, contact the office.
  • Avoid sun exposure for seven days after laser and 14 days after Forever Bare BBL® treatments, as it is susceptible to sunburn and pigmentation changes. Use SPF 30 or higher sunblock and cover the area; blistering may occur up to 72 hours post-treatment.
  • Hair may fall out a few days to 4 weeks after treatment and may seem to grow; schedule follow-up treatments 4-8 weeks apart as advised, with the number needed varying by hair and skin type.

MOXI™ LASER SKIN RESURFACING

  • Avoid sun exposure, including tanning beds, for 14 days before treatment. Do not use sunless tanning creams or sprays on the area to be treated during this time.
  • It would help if you did not wax or apply depilatory cream on the treatment areas for 14 days before your appointment.
  • Stop taking Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, fish oils, Vitamin E, and other substances that thin the blood seven days before your treatment. If you are taking prescribed blood
  • If you have a history of cold sores, it is advised that you take an oral antiviral agent before undergoing resurfacing treatments around the mouth to prevent the virus from activating.
  • Refrain from using products containing active ingredients such as Retinol (Retin-A, Tretinoin, Vitamin A), Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, AHAs (Alpha-hydroxy acids), LHAs (Lipo hydroxy acids), and Benzoyl Peroxide 4 days before treatment.   • If you have been ill or had a fever recently, consider postponing your procedure. You may need to reschedule your appointment if you are on antibiotics for an infection. Please discuss this with our office.
  • Arrive at your appointment with no makeup and clean skin.
  • Beginning the morning after the treatment, cleanse your skin with plain, lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser twice a day. Use your hands and gently pat the skin; avoid rubbing or scrubbing.
  • Use clean hands to apply moisturizer generously over the treated area. Reapply whenever the skin feels dry. Avoid using products not approved by your doctor, such as essential oils or coconut oil.
  • Apply a physical broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 daily starting the day after treatment. Continue using sunscreen consistently for three months post-procedure. Reapply during sun exposure.
  • If you experience discomfort, use an over-the-counter pain reliever like Extra Strength Tylenol, as your doctor recommends. Continue any prescribed antiviral medications as directed.
  • Do not scratch or itch the treated areas to prevent scarring and pigmentation. Oral Benadryl may help relieve itching, but be aware that it can cause drowsiness.
  • Dry the treated area with soft cloths and towels. Avoid direct shampoo contact when showering, and refrain from wearing makeup until the peeling process is complete.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that cause sweating until the skin has fully healed.

VIVACE® RADIOFREQUENCY MICRONEEDLING

  • Stop using products with exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents) 5-7 days before treatment.
  • Patients with a history of fever blisters should start antiviral medication 1-2 days before treatment per their prescription instructions.
  • Avoid NSAIDs (aspirin, Motrin, Advil, ibuprofen, and other non-acetaminophen products) for two weeks before treatment to reduce bruising risk unless prescribed for ongoing medical conditions.
  • Do not use tanning beds, expose yourself to the sun without protection, or get sunburned for at least two weeks before treatment. Always apply zinc oxide sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Also, avoid self-tanning products 5-7 days before treatment.
  • Do not wear makeup on the day of your treatment.
  • Avoid using Accutane six months before starting your treatment sessions.
  • Refrain from waxing, using depilatory creams, or undergoing electrolysis in the treatment area 5-7 days before treatment.
  • Following treatment, your skin may appear red as if mildly sunburned, and feel warm, stingy, and tight. This typically subsides within 1-4 hours and should diminish within 24 hours.
  • Your aesthetician will recommend post-procedure skincare products to soothe, calm, and protect your skin. Use these products for four days before resuming your regular skincare regimen.
  • Keep your skin free of cosmetics post-treatment; however, mineral-based products may be used with clean brushes. The following day, makeup can be applied as usual.
  • Avoid other skincare products for the first 24 hours unless directed by your skincare provider.
  • Stay away from Jacuzzis, saunas, and steam baths for up to 48 hours after treatment.
  • For up to 48 hours following the treatment, avoid exercising or engaging in activities that increase your heart rate, cause sweating, or heat the skin.
  • Refrain from deep exfoliation, retinol, glycolic, or products that dry or irritate the skin for 5-7 days after treatment.
  • Avoid sun tanning and prolonged direct sunlight exposure for at least two weeks. After 24 hours, you may use sunblock or a moisturizer with sunblock (SPF 30 or higher).
  • Schedule Vivace treatments 4 to 6 weeks apart. A series of three treatments is recommended for new patients.
  • After completing the treatment series, consider maintenance treatments every six months or as needed, based on age, skin type, sun exposure, and lifestyle.
